I am an old vietnam vet and I think you are Super. I joined the Navy at 17 because I love our country
and have a deep sense of duty and honor. When I came home, my folks had a service star banner in the picture window. It was the same one my Mom put in a window when my Dad was in the Army Air Corp.
during W.W. 2. Someone threw a bag of dog crap at it so hard that it cracked my folks picture window.
What my Dad said will always be with me.He said, “Dont let the screams of the cowardly discourage you from thinking nobody is proud of you. For every one of them , there are a hundred who cheer. You may not always hear them , they may not be as loud , but they are there.”
I am one who cheers you and the rest of the brave super folks , and I hope that my words in some small way gives comfort in all the challenges you may face.
